How to Live: A Life of Montaigne in one question and twenty attempts at an answer by Sarah Bakewell [2011]

I picked this up because I am fascinated by Montaigne and by adopting a more stoic approach to life.  But I found it unsatisfying and a little simplistic and did not finish it.  I think I need to get into the original essays myself.
